Forget that crap about saying what they really feel when they're drunk. They're just
releasing their pain!
I mean when they're stone cold sober! With the faces they make, and their actions?

Number one, do they know their own true self? And number 2, will you know it is true when you see it, or will you mistake a temporary behavior as someone's TRUE self? I wonder about the motives of people. Forget what they say. And sometimes, especially- mostly in people under 35- do they even know when their actions aren't matching up with their words? We all lie, but sometimes not to intentionally mislead. Sometimes our actions just haven't yet caught up with our intentions, so it takes a period of learning. What prompts you to ask this question today?

Well we all have a face
That we hide away forever
And we take them out and
Show ourselves
When everyone has gone
Some are satin some are steel
Some are silk and some are leather
They're the faces of the stranger
But we love to try them on

Well we all fall in love
But we disregard the danger
Though we share so many secrets
There are some we never tell
Why were you so surprised
That you never saw the stranger
Did you ever let your lover see
The stranger in yourself?

Don't be afraid to try again
Everyone goes south
Every now and then
You've done it, why can't
Someone else?
You should know by now
You've been there yourself

Once i used to believe
I was such a great romancer
Then i came home to a woman
That i could not recognize
When i pressed her for a reason

She refused to even answer
It was then i felt the stranger
Kick me right between the eyes

Well we all fall in love
But we disregard the danger
Though we share so many secrets
There are some we never tell
Why were you so surprised
That you never saw the stranger
Did you ever let your lover see
The stranger in yourself?

Don't be afraid to try again
Everyone goes south
Every now and then
You've done it why can't
Someone else?
You should know by now
You've been there yourself

You may never understand
How the stranger is inspired
But he isn't always evil
And he isn't always wrong
Though you drown in good intentions
You will never quench the fire
You'll give in to your desire
When the stranger comes along

If you watch and observe (or live with) someone long enough you tend to noticed this about their behavior. You'll start to notice that they do certain things when they are lying. You can tell how they really react to something even though they pretend that they are happy.

People will always show their true colors. They will always continue to give themselves away because most of them do want people to know about what they did or how they really are. But however there are alot of people who enjoy pretending to be someones friend only to stab them in the back or they do things because they enjoy the drama that they create.

I think it's good in a way when people show their true selves by negative behavior. That way you can avoid contact with them, and not have to
continue with the drama that they've created.

Anybody can hide his or her true self for a short time. After a longer period of time the real person starts showing. Why do you think so many relationships start off so happy and loving and end up with disastrous results? Because when the true person starts emerging it's not so pretty and loving.

People can hide their true selves from people but if an individual is around them for a period of time(years) then eventually their real personality will come out.

i will truthfully relate to what you're saying. area of the criminal = i'm an introvert. And introverts not in basic terms are shy, yet regularly shop from revealing the completed tale. So, a majority of the time, I truthfully have hidden issues approximately me. what's something that no-one is familiar with approximately me? each and every thing. no person is familiar with each and every thing approximately me.. properly, different than myself.

Sure people can hide their true selves. They just can't do it for long. Sooner or later their nature will come out.

=YES, a true sociopath also called a psychopath and you will never know it until it is too late. There are more white collared psychopath's than the famous ones with all of their charm and charisma like Charles Manson etc.
