every one is so happy but the world around them sucks soooo

It doesn't do to complain....no one wants to listen, so we may as well whistle while we work?! Also, this reminded me of a saying my grandmother used to tell us every day when we'd leave...instead of saying have a good day she would say:
"MAKE it a good day!"

Look for the good around you, not the bad...I am sure your life is better than many people out there. Even if it is small things, like a partner that makes you laugh when you are down, nice hair, a cute pet...if you look at how bad the world is, it will only make you depressed...and if you dont like it so much, do something to change it :)

hm...perhaps it is ignorance. people are happiest when their eyes are closed. there's a saying that the intelligent are always sad or in despair, so maybe everyone is stupid and that's why they're happy. It's the eminent IQ test: happy=moron, sad=smart.
That's a really funny question, though there's nothing really wrong with being optimistic or accepting limitations, I don't think. I'm not that way but I tend to love people who are...
