103*107 = (105-2)*(105+2)
=105^2 - 2^2
= 11025-4
= 11021 ( 105*105 = last digit is 5 so multiply 10*11= 110 and append 25 = 11025)

why it works,.

(10n+5)^2 = (10n)^2+2*10*5n + 25
= 100n^2+100n + 25
= 100(n+1)n + 25

multiply n and n+1 and append 00 to get 1st term and append 25 to get value
