Its been suggested that Darth Sidious' master created Anakin using the Dark Side of the Force. Sidious mentions something to Anakin during the opera scene that his master learned to create life while studying the Dark Side. Not a definitive answer, but much more plausible to me than Anakin just being created by the Force.

Anakin has no father. He was born of the force, so technically, the force is his father. When he didn't exist, his medichlorians did. They had enough force force power to put Anakin in the world, and make him the most powerful Jedi/Sith, besides the chosen one. Many believed HE was the chosen one because he had all that power, but the truth is, he was given that power so HIS son, Luke, could inherit it. Luke is the chosen one, Anakin has no living father.

Anakin's MOTHER clearly states in Episode I that there WAS no Father... (therefore it is an Immaculate Conception)
Anakin's high (record) 'meta-chlorian' count suggests conception via "the Force"... though this is not clarified.

As revealed in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Anakin Skywalker has no biological father. His mother, Shmi, was unable to explain to Qui-Gon Jinn how Anakin was conceived. Qui-Gon later theorized that Anakin was conceived by the midi-chlorians themselves, in accord with the will of the Force. This theory, combined with Anakin's unusually high midi-chlorian count and powerful connection to the Force, led Qui-Gon to believe that Anakin was the prophesied "Chosen One" who would bring balance to the Force.

Anakin has no father but he has a step father, Owen Lars. Anakin also told Obi-Wan that he was like a "Father" to him.

Didn t anyone perk up when the Chancellor/Darth Sidius/Emperor calls Anakin son in Episode 3? This would fit with gothjedi s speculation that Sidius learned this from his master before killing him and created life.

Qui gon jinn is Anakins father in star wars Episode 1 and shmi skywalker was his mother.I know thats hard to believe but its true Qui gon jinn was a first name and skywalker was his last name.its true in the book of the star wars later episode than episode 1.when qui gon jinn is still alive.
