I haven't watched ER in quite some time. But I decided to watch it last night. And I noticed a fair amount of swearing on the show. I don't care for that too much. What do you think?

I watch every episode. You are right, and I had to listen to some vulger stuff that I feel like has no place on t.v. and was in no way important to the story line. Many NBC shows are using some ugly words and I can't tell you why, but I can tell you I'm no fan of it.

ER is an amazing show! You should keep watching. The previous posters were correct in that the patient with multiple personallities did swear alot to show the contrast to his other personalities. Alot of people have been criticizing the show for not being as good the last few seasons, but I have to disagree. The show has always maintained a high quality of stories.
Why does swearing bother people so much? It's just words. No one makes you use them yourself. And who decides a word is bad? I've always wondered that. It's just a word until someone decides it's bad. Stop watching or stop listening if it bothers you so much.

Usually there is not that much---the man on the show that cursed the most was the guy with the multiple personality disorder. They had him be all mean and curse up a storm so it would be in sharp contrast to his other docile personalities. Keep watching..it's a great show! :)

The patient with multiple personalities had one personality that had a potty mouth. That was the personality that protected him. It s not typical of the show but it should be expected in a city hospital.

there was a lot of swearing last night, more than usual. i think it was an effort to portray how seriously ill the man with multiple personalities was.

Yeah, I don't think there is that much swearing normally. I agree it was to show how disturbed that man was. Give it at least one more try. It'll be better, you'll see!

i think in pregnancy your hormones always go crazy at least there going up and not down mine went down with my first pregnancy and had a miscarrige what i hear if your hormones tripple instead of double like they are suposed to that it could mean twins good luck

Yes, am a faithful watcher. Strange, I didn't notice swearing at all... and we're not swearers in our home....
