I don't know about an "87 but the older V-8's had there firing order stamped on the top of the intake manifold near the front.
hope this helps, if not you can get a repair manual at most auto parts stores ie. shucks. auto zone wal-mart might even have them.

the 4.3 had 2 differant firing orders depending on the year be shure to get the correct year if you get the order from a book.
