I don't know...political has to do with people; geo has to do with land. Good question!

The theory that geographical location, is a major determinant in the politics of a country; or, politics shaped by the geographical location of a country. For example, a country that is land-locked, would have a different political orientation than an island.

My guess would be world centered politics rather than national, but this is just a guess. Based on geocentric or world centered.
