Are you serious it was Bush that wanted a guest worker program that amounted to amnesty, the only thing that was stopping him was the Republican Congress, he wanted the Democratic Senate bill to be passed. And Bush is the one that has struck a deal with Mexico and the Canadian Prime Minister, for open borders, remember the NAFTA Supper highway which will run from Mexico to Canada, it is under construction. Now Bush, Pelosi, and the New President of Mexico just had a meeting and are making ways on immigration for more Mexicians to come over, so you should love what is happening to this country, a sh*t pot full of Mexicans. The Dem's, Bush and the Mexican government are getting their way, and the American people are getting screwed. Happy now.

It's hard to say. The Mexican government disagrees with both the republican and democratic stances on immigration. They really didn't work much with the republicans. Some of this could be because they don't like Bush. If they have a somewhat new government in the US to work with, they might be more willing to discuss. But their core belief on immigration would have to change rather they talk with democrats or republicans.

Actually, I think it will get worse... here's why:

The Dems will fight against Corporate America in an effort to prevent jobs going to nations with cheap labor. This will negatively effect Mexico, which will increase the illegal immigration. This will put more pressure on the Dems in order to look good to the American people but the Dems will have a hard time balancing this issue of being tough on protecting American jobs but not being held responsible for the immigration trend downward. They'll put more pressure on Mexico without offering them any real hope of a solution, which will cause a diminished relationship with our neighbor to the south.

Since most Mexican Americans are in the Democrat Party I would expect better relations to flourish AFTER the Republicans are defeated in '08. Unfortunately, Rick Perry Republican Governor of Texas was re-elected for four more painful years and he hates Mexicans because they are too poor to put money in his pockets----he's a thief and a liar and he is going to hell for it. Candidate Chris Bell would have made an ideal governor, but we will have to wait another four years when Perry will no longer be eligible to run.

Sure, it is possible, because they are softer on illegall immigration. On the other hand, they are less inclined to enter into free trade agreements. So, I guess it depends on the issues that are on the front burner.
