Try some Gold Bond powder before you run.
Also, diaper rash ointment would help if you're not too embarrassed to use it.
I've found that A & D ointment helps & it goes on clear, so it would be invisible.
All of these things will also cure a heat rash that has already developed.
Good luck with your marathon.

There are pwders made for that. Actually, I know that there are non-friction powders made for very obese people to keep chaffing down. Perhaps this would work for your application as well. Call a pharmacy or a medical supply company and ask them. They also use the powder on elderly patients to stop friction from bedding.
Hey, good luck on your marathon!

Try different baby powders before running. Talcum first. Corn starch second. Corn starch may dry it out too much. Use A&D ointment at night to cure rash

The stuff that works for baby rash and coats the skin works well. I use Desitin it comes in a tube it is thick white and hard to wash off but it does protect from rash. I use Desitin in summer if I get a heat rash.

Try any diaper rash ointment like Destin. It has zinc oxide that prevents friction, and moisture build up. It sounds crazy, but it works like a charm!

a good way is to run more often so that you actually condition the loins and the skin gets a little rougher. i'm not suggesting bruises or boils, just a constant more frequent running.
