MY SHOE BROKE AND I HAVE NO MORE. ITS EITHER SOCKS OR BAREFOOT. WOULDNT IT BE EMBARASSING TO GO INTO KROGER BAREFOOT?

I would go barefoot as there is no point to wearing socks without shoes. You have some strange rules in the US - how do bare feet affect the food ? - flip-flops won't help !
Here in the UK you can go pretty much anywhere in bare feet and many people do in the summer.

Well, considering the fact the the floor is FULL of germs..I prefer socks...Fortunately it's a law that you must wear shoes in a grocery store. I would NOT shop in a place that allows people to run through the store barefooted. Wear houseshoes..at least you are protecting your feet from gems.

If you are a caucasian then you can walk in bare foot people won't notice anything just wear a Hawiaan t-shirt and shorts and it won't look bad...but if your are not caucaisian then don't try it cuz then they might think you are a hobo and follow you around the whole grocery place like as if you are a thief. You can always wear slippers or Flip Flops but if it comes down to bare or socks then i would prefer socks

as fun as it would be to go barefoot, most stores have a sign that says no shirt, no shoes, no service. It is a health code. Not that the store has a dress code. Try with socks and they might think they are slippers and let you get away with it.

Barefoot.
I remember when it was allowed.
We came in this world with no shoes on, or socks. Besides the socks would get stained then be no good, you can wash your feet and not need to worry that you wasted a pair of socks

I would wear my broken shoe and go buy some more shoes, I am not walking around bare foot and I am not walking around in public with socks either. Good luck and God bless

This is a cool question and pretty funny. I would definitely opt for socks. Who knows what you could step on with bare feet? I wouldn't be embarassed either unless they were trying to throw me out.

Don't most have signs that say "Shoes and shirt required"? Heh. Socks, at least. Better yet, but some $2.00 flip flops.

I would hope people going grocery shopping had shoes on. Peoples feet are so dirty and i know i wouldn't want that around the food i was gonna buy.
