No, you having a cold will not hurt the baby. Any cold meds you take may. It is very important NOT to take many meds the first trimester. That is when all of the baby's "parts" are forming and developing. By the 12th week the baby actually has fingers and toes. Get LOTS of rest and DRINK lots of fluids. Orange juice and chicken soup are the best. Use those nose strips (those stickers that hold your nose open) when possible, and use a humidifier.
I am 8 weeks pregnant (with #3) now and going through the same thing right now too. So I'm feeling your pain :)
Good luck, it will pass.

Only if you are running a high fever. I am 21 weeks pregnant with my third child, and have been fighting the same thing for a few weeks now. The headaches could be because you are pregnant. You shouldn't take anything until you ask your doctor. But Tylenol might help with your headaches. You can take that. Make sure you start taking your vitamins. And if it gets really bad, go to the doctor, they can prescribe something safe for you to take to help with your throat!!
Congratulations, and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!!

No, in fact you can even go out and buy some over the counter medicine. You can have Rubitussin DM and chlor-trimeton for cold symptoms. Benedryl and tylenol are also safe. The only thing that can hurt your baby is fever and lack of oxygen-two things that can happen durng colds and flu. It is better to have you symptom free using meds then toughing it out and causing damage.

Not usually, you do however need to be careful what you take for your sickness. My advice would be to talk with a doctor about what they would presecirbe for this while you are pregnant.
Oh, and congratulations on getting pregnant. Good luck with everything.

Why didn't you wait until after you got married to try to have a baby? I mean you don't get to fully experience the "honeymoon" phase. My sister in law actually got pregnant on her honeymoon, and they didn't get to do as much as they wanted to while she was pregnant, and now with the baby.

No, it shouldn't hurt the baby. I was really sick early in my pregnancy and my OB told me not to worry that my baby took all the good nutrients that I had in my body. And she told me just to make sure I took my vitamins. Hope you feel better soon!

As long as you don't take medications that harm your baby, you should be fine.
And if I remember correctly, headaches and symptoms of a sinus infection are also symptoms of pregnancy.
