Depends on the media (Disk, Hard drive, Flash Drive, Chip, Record, Tape, etc.)... whatever the lifespan of the media will be the lifespan of the file...............................

Forever as long as it isn't corrupted. I have had some for about 8 years now.

Player - depends on how you treat it

File - as long as you dont delete it, or it doesnt get corrupted, its good forever.
