Decide for you what is acceptable and all else would be against the law, such as Gay marriage, Abortion and Religous affliations? Just because it is "Legal" do you feel "you" would be drawn to try it? THEN WHO CARES IF YOU ARE STRONG IN YOUR OWN CONVICTIONS?

I dont want either party to decide for me. I want them to do their job and protect me. I can decide for my self thanks. And when you make decisions for other groups that effects me that is wrong too. I dont want to pay for your ineptness to take care of your self. thats why I work look it up its a novel concept.

Both, the ones voted in should work together to come up with policy that works for the majority.
If you have strong convictions, say on abortion, well that is fine. I am pro life Democrat. But I don't force my beliefs on someone else with a law concerning moral issues. I have strong convictions. But I also recognize the fact that everyone here in America is entitled to live the moral life they want to, as long as it isn't hurting any other person. I am a Veteran and served for you to have that right if you are American. You see who cares Dem's or Rep's. It is really about Americans. Working together.

I am an individual. I do not believe a "party" run by wealthy detached white males, with allegiance to special interest groups have the capability of clear moral judgment. I also believe legislating morality is wrong.

We are a system of laws based on individual rights. Our laws are not based on morality rather against infringement of others rights. If you do not believe in abortion, don't have one. If you don't agree with gay marriage hold your own dear, as hypocrisy is unbecoming. If you want to legislate religious views look upon those trapped in theocracies...are they better off?

Well for starters, I definitely feel the Democrat party is more aligned with my positions on most issues.

As for if it is legal, do you feel drawn to try it? No, Alcohol is legal and I dont drink. I dont think if gay marriage is legal, it would encourage otherwise straight people to try it. And abortion is legal and it does not encourage young women to have one.

I really dont know what your point is.
