how do i stop getting emails when someone gives me an answer. And how do I log off and not havw one any more?

If you choose a "best answer" you close the question and will not get anymore answers or emails.

At the bottom of the question page it gives you the option of getting new emails every time there is a new answer, click the check mark so it is no longer in the box and you wont receive those.

change your preferences for not receiving answers via email.. and now sign out completely
