Why does gothic appeal to some people? What's up with them?
Why do they want to be gothic?

Well, here is a question for you, if you could open your tiny mind for a moment... Why do people dress any-way? Why do some dress nice? Why do some dress "sporty"? Why do some dress "Preppy" or "Punk" or "Emo"? Well, I'll tell you why. Because that's what they feel comfortable in, and I think thats fine. Be yourself. THINK for YOURSELF.

I am gothic and have been for 6 years. The reason its appealing to me is because at a very early age I found out how sad and depressing this world was. I had always known I was different and strange and obsessed with dark things. In pre-school I was drawing pictures of tornadoes and black holes hoping that they would come take me away. During jr high and high school, I fell in with the goths. They accepted me and all my odd behavior as normal. They transformed me into what I am today. I want to be gothic because I like death. I want to know everything about it. I do not want to die, but I am just curious.

gothic represents the dark side,with diffrent stages some just play around,while others explor deeper into the true dark arts.it can b very evil.to b true gothic is for satin to b ur god

well i've never liked the gothic style...but they like it and yes it appeals to them just like how some ppl like to dress in punk outfits...or in classy outfits....or in simple but nice outfits...everyone has different tastes in clothes...and yeap the world would be a boring place if everyone dressed the same

Its personal preference. Just like its your preference to look down on them.......

well everyone's different and we all have different taste so while it may be unappealing to you it may be very appealing to someone else

Same reason hip-hop, preppy, grunge, hobo, etc people dress they way they do. Some people like it, some don't. Who cares??
