Yes, I do. I believe that peace on earth and good will toward men is a universal philosophy that everyone of us should embrace...not just people of the Christian faith.

Why wouldn't they? Where does it say that Christians have the monopoly on the spirit of Christmas?
The spirit of Christmas is whatever you make it out to be. Most consider it to be family, traditions, giving to those in need, things along those lines. It is very possible to celebrate it without making it into a religious thing and people do it every year with no problem. They have just as much right to celebrate as anyone else. So it's very pompous and arrogant to say they can't because "they don't have the Christmas spirit becasue they don't celebrate it properly by making it all about Jesus".

Yes and no
We have the spirit of wanting to be close to our families and friends and wanting to spread Christmas cheer, but when it comes to celebrating Jesus' birthday that is where the Christians lose us. I can listen to the Carols being sung, I can get moved by it but I guess I am celebrating the commercialism of it all.
I do not disrespect anyone who is religious in the Christmas season, Their choice not mine. Also I am not a person who would be jumping on a band wagon to stop anything religious. Like the schools banning prayers, or forcing things getting into a "holiday theme" so everyone is included. It is everyone's choice we can go find something if we don't like it. Make more time to have seperate celebrations.

I think that depends on how much money they spend on other people.
Late December rituals derive from the Winter Solstice celebrations of the past. You see, on Dec 21st -- the shortest day of the year -- the sun dies. Then three later, it rises and brings new light onto the world. The same thing happens on the Spring Solstice -- you would call it Easter.
They're just stories and adaptations. When an adaption is pronounced to be absolute truth, well, then it's just silly -- odious.
Merry Birth of The New Light! And a Happy New Gregorian Calender Year.

If you are referring to the spirit of Christmas as the time of Jesus being born and that whole religious side then the answer would be no.
If however you are referring to the enjoyment of spending some time with friends and family, exchanging some gifts, and good food, then some probably have that spirit.

Due to commonality of "time off", vacations, etc., it is a great time for families and friends to get together, and so it is a grand opportunity to share what some of them think of as that "spirit" (while some of that same group may be atheists but share the "spirit of meeting" nonetheless).

Depends on what YOU think is the spirit of christmas! If you believe that it's Christ, then, well, no, atheists don't have that. But if you believe that the spirit of christmas is peace, love, joy, and family, then people of all faiths (and lack thereof) can share the spirit.
ps, your screen name left me singing.

Atheists do have the spirit of Christmas, not all of them acknowledge it.

Anyone can have the spirit of generosity and peace.
Love is not a Christian exclusive. The idea of celebrating the winter and having songs, food, music that are unique to the period is intoxicating to all that are open to it.
Certainly it is more spiritually meaningful to Christians but all faiths and no faiths can enjoy it on some level.

Do you really think that your a better person than I am because you live by a bunch of fairy tales that are all assembled into one book that you call a bible? That is rediculous! Just because I don't believe in god doesn't mean that I don't have religion or morals. CHRISTIANITY IS NOT THE ONLY RELIGION IN THE WORLD!!There are many world religions that don't pray to a god, instead the focus is about being the best person you can be.
