This is my second pregnancy, I had a c-section with my first and now I'm having another sceduled one. I was wondering if your chances of your water breaking are higher? Is anything different towards the end of the pregnancy after a c-section?

I have had 2 c-sections and I don't think that makes a difference about when your water breaks. It breaks when it is ready. Both times I had the procedure,I was scheduled but my water broke a few days before, but there was no harm done. They are still able to perform the c-section with no adverse affects,so don't let it worry you.Just have your things packed and ready to go just in case.Congratulations and good luck!

I have had 4 babies, one delivered by c-section and 3 v-bacs. It's funny, but my water never broke on its own. In all cases, my water was broken at the hospital to speed up the labor process. I don't think if you've had a c-section, you chances increase or decrease. Every pregnancy is different.

If your not sure, why don't you ask your doctor, instead of strangers on the web; what are you scared of? Are you dealing with an incompetent doctor? There should many differences, starting with the fact that this is a second pregnancy. You can never have a "First" twice. Therefore, easy by C-Section, difficult by way of the birth canal. If by Birth canal, this is your first, and much of what you missed for the first delivery may surprise you , especially the PAIN!
