I was working in the yard and my two married male neighbrs were aslo workig in their yards. They thought that it was funny that their wives had to ask them ten times to put out the garbage before they did and that they refused to change the roll of toilet paper. I don't get it. These are the same men who would ask, "Why is my wife always so angry?" MEN, please explain your behavior.

Some men are just plain lazy. Waiting for the woman to take out the trash or put a new roll on is just pure "lard-a$$" lazy. It takes two to tango and if two are living in the same house, then it takes two to clean and keep things in order...slavery went out a long time ago. Besides what happened to Chivalry and the guy doing things for his wife...sounds like the guy never had a good mentor.

Let's start ticking off the reasons:
Attitude problem -- they 'think' that their wives should be their 'slaves' and do the 'dirty work' around the home
Laziness -- it is NOT as if the female in their lives is NOT working -- she is probably holding down a job just like they are ... and then doing most of the household work too.
Desire to IRRITATE -- it is a matter of control and manipulation -- they LIKE to see their spouses irritated and angry -- and think it is FUNNY when they do this.
Protection of Ego -- These men are SO INSECURE that they have to continue to pin-prick their wives and make them angry so that their egos can develop this cocoon of "fuzzy Feeling of Superiority" to help them deal with everyday life.

Hey I take the garbage out, I guess some men don't realize when they got it good. It actually turns some women on to see their man helping out around the house.

I'm with you lady, why can't people just be helpful? Just like the zillion things you do for him that he will never notice until you are gone. Sure he doesn't ask you to do them, but you shouldn't have to ask the love of your life to know, respect and like you. It should make them feel good to do these things. That's your job as a spouse isn't it? To make the other persons life easier?

most men have a higher tolerance for dirt. and nagging them only makes them want to do it even less.
find ways around their behavior with out doing it for them. that's what I do. for example (with the trash) set the whole can outside when it's full or keep packing things into it, this will only make it harder for them.
is your husband using the last of the TP with out replacing the role? no problem! get enough TP for yourself each time you need it. during your husbands next BM he will regrett not replacing the tp.

I always put the trash out without having to be asked. But if I was married to you I would probably jump in the back of the truck myself.

Hard for me to say because I am the one who takes out the garbage every Thursday. I also am always changing the TP.

They dont want thier wives to nag, but then dont do the simple tasks asked of them. Go figure.

Because men are smarter about responsiblity then we are.....they dont do things that become their "burden".....mine is the king of delegation. The harder question is? why do we put up with it??
