I regretably had an abortion almost a year ago and had an IUD inserted after. I had the IUD removed because of complications. Since my abortion it has hurt almost every time after sex. This morning was extreamly bad, it still hurts. I have mild cramps, hurt really bad when I tried to have a bowel movment, and still hurts inside my vagina and in my lower back (close to my bum). My doctor has been up there for various reasons the past year and says everything looks normal and fine. What could be causing these pains?

Just want to make a point: the reason why I had an abortion is irrelevant to this question. I was just giving info so that you could know some reasons why it may hurt. Please stick to the point of my question.

Tipped or dropped uterus has nothing to do with it! I have one and do not experience pain and my significant other is well endowed.

I would def go and get a 2nd opinion.
What I think off the top of my head that might be the cause is your uterus hasn't fully healed. A D&C (which Im assuming was the type of abortion you had) IS invasisive and they do scrap the walls of your uterus. Then the IUD got inserted and your body rejected it do to maybe minor scarring on your uterus(again Im assuming this si what happened) and then you had it removed which might have as well scarepped the walls of your uterus. I would advice staying away from pork and aspirin( slow donw the heeling process same thing they tell you when you get a tattoo) get on the pill or another form of birth control for a good 4-6 months so your uterus can heal and keep sex to a minimal and nothing ruff (easier said than done) just let you body bounce back to normal and you should feel better

You should not be having pain that long after an abortion or IUD removal. You need to go get a second opinion from another OB/GYN. Something is not right and sex should not hurt. Get a copy of all of your records pertaining to both abortion and IUD and all of your OB/GYN visits and go see someone outside of that doctors practice to avoid problems with your current doctor.

It's Gods way of punishing you for having an abortion.
JUST KIDDING !!!!!! An abortion can be a very painful emotional ordeal. When the pain is also physical, it's time to see your Ob/Gyn. If the doctor you are referring to in your question IS your Ob/Gyn then it's time for a second opinion!

Go to you doctor, pain during sex usually means three's something wrong. I had pain and it was blood clusters on my cervix which they removed with a biopsy.

That doesn't sound like everything is okay. You should definitely get a second opinion.
