usually with 2 dog bones crossing over each other underneath? is it something to do with goth? rock culture?

OK on ships it meant don't come to close we have the plague. later the pirates took it on to keep people away from the ship while in port. no one wants to go near a ship that has plague. as for goth and rock it just looks cool

Skulls got into rock through militaristic punk. Skull graphics are common in various militaries. The U.S. military uses a jawless skull.

Its called "deaths head totum" used by pirates as the jolly roger.Generally meaning death or glory by a variety of people and organisations

as far as i know it stands for death. but do what i do change anything u want and make it ur own symbol that way ul never not know what somat means
