Go to Add/Remove Programs. Find the listing for (in my case I have AT&T Yahoo and it lists as AT&T Yahoo Applications) Yahoo Applications. Click Remove and a window will open. Select the Items you want to remove and click the uninstall button. When finished click on Close and then restart your computer.

When you are in IE, look at the second tray from the bottom, and you will see a square white box with a round yellow ball, with "!".
Right click with your mouse on that box an it will open, and you will have options to shut off the "phishing security control". If you don't do on like banking, or purchases with your CC, then you really don't need this software to scan every webpage before it opens. All it does is slow down the ability to surf the web.
This security is used to scan a web page before it open to determine if the page is rogue or genuine.
I shut my down as I don't bank on line or purchase on line. Now my IE& runs faster.
And in the top tray next to the pop-up blocker is a round ball, that if you open, you will find options to turn on Nortons. I myself consider Nortons pure garbage, so I just ignore that portion of the security. As I have all I need in my pc. Don't need the Yahoo garbage.
