My niece and her boyfriend moved into my house from rural Georgia. I live in Arlington, Virginia in a very metropolitan area, but they aren't old enough to go to bars and they don't know anyone. What can they do to meet friends? Hopefully something inexpensive. She's 19 and he's 18.

Have then jump right in to volunteering....
There are sooooooo many organizations that could benefit from a young couples views and energy! The local food shelf, the nursing home, the local elementary school. I could go on and on...
A job is always a good start as well.... Have them get out there and find one. If they have one then they should talk at work about what others do after hours besides sitting in the bars. Believe me when they grow up hopefully they will realize that the BAR is not the most desireable place to meet GOOD people.
