Not so much open minded as i really don't give a crud if it doesn't agree with me and mine... IM KIDDING!
yes, I am very tolerant of different and alternative ways of thinking and belief systems. As long as they imply some sort of base intelligence and rationality. If they are just ignorant... as in the KKK or Taliban. I am never at a loss for things to say against them... but always with a "back of the mind" kind of understanding of how and or why they maybe got that way.
So yes, I would call intelligent, selective acceptance a wise choice on my part... It doesn't have to agree with my perspective or belief. As in both Christianity and atheisim... I can see the point of each side and the faults of each side. But I would never ever say that either one is better or try to force my opinion on anyone who didn't ask for it first. Live and let live!

I try to be, and on some things I can be (someone likes fine china, someone else likes clay pottery - I'm great about respecting those kinds of differences). I'm even kind of good about respecting political differences.
My opinions, thoughts, and ideas, though, have been formed on doing so much keeping myself informed and studying and learning and living; so if I run into someone who has put less time or who has not gone the extra mile to get good, solid, back-up-able, information before forming a thought or an opinion, I tend to be pretty closed-minded about it.
I guess my thing is I respect differences. I just don't respect opinions and conclusions that are made on insufficient information or evidence.

Yes I do... 1 + 1 = 2 & this is a fact. It is 2 under water, in outter space, when it is cold, when it is hot, in the USA & in China it is 2. So if somebody wants to argue this fact we can have a go at it.
Coke VS Pepsi is an opinion, there is no right or wrong answer because you are no longer arguing facts. That skirt is to short is an opinion, this band is better then that band, she is better looking then somebody else.. ALL OPINIONS!!
There is a rule to arguing opinions... DONT! Cuz it is like being in an event at the Special Olympics, even if you win you are still retarded.

YES!!!....but when their comments, opinions or ideas end up hurting someone then that is when I just STOP being openminded. There is a line that shouldn't be crossed, but as long as two adults can communicate and listen to each other's opinion on different topics, that is great, but they should also never forget about the RESPECT that should be honored between the both of them.

Open mind = unending possibilities
Closed mind= prejudice trapped inside!

I am openminded as long as their thoughts, ideas or opinions agree wtih mine..LOL..Seriously I believe everyone is entitled to their own thoughts. There are some issues though that I am close minded to..Like the God/no God issue. There is a God and I know it so I not open minded about other people trying to convince me otherwise and with the abortion issue..I am anti abortion and it irritates me that people try to convice me that abortion is not murder. They are entitiled to their opinion but when they start trying to convince me mine is wrong..I draw the line

I try to frame my ideas to make people think but not to effect there values. I love to listen to others to help frame my opinion.
I guess that makes me open minded
