I had a blood test and they checked my homoglobins. What is this test, what is it for, what does it prove?

Hemoglobin is protein which attached with blood. Blood has two major components, solid and liquid. Liquid is called serum or plasma. Solid is made up of cells. There are three kinds of cells in our blood called, red blood cell, white blood cell and platelet .
Red blood cell contains hemoglobin. It is combination of Heme + Globin. It is main substance which carries oxygen in blood. Normal hemoglobin is about 12-15 %. If it is less than it is called anemia. In anemia people tired easy, feels shortness of breath with mild exertion. Anemia is not good in pregnancy because blood is principle food for fetus. I hope this will help you.
