I personally love Bobby Bowden and can't imagine FSU without him, but the Seminoles have struggled for the last few years and the pressure is on the 77 year old coach to retire. His credentials include 364 victories, 291 of which he has earned at FSU, and 19 bowl victories. Two of his players have won the Heisman Trophy. His program went 14 consecutive seasons with at least 10 victories and a top-five finish in The Associated Press poll. But have Seminole fans given up on the "Winningest Coach in History"?

No, that's stupid. He's doing a good job, it's just the players aren't as good as they used to be, the other teams in the ACC are getting better and catching up to the talent level of FSU.

Makes me sick to my stomach. If legends like Bobby Bowden are subject to political and booster sway, then no-one can fell safe anywhere. Bowden is worshipped in Tallahassee. Also, I think FSU is playing with fire here. Bowden has supporters all over the nation and this is a major slap in the face to all of them. FSU recruiting might tank when he leaves. The only coach who has any business taking over FSU's program is Steve Spurrier. I know it sounds strange, but Spurrier would have taken it in a heart beat had he been offered. Jimbo Fisher has no business taking over that program.

Yeah, it probably is. Bowden has had his times, and will go down as one of the greats in college football. But it's time for someone else.

FSU should fire Bobby and hire Larry Coker of
Tyrone Wittingham. When Bowden is gone
FSU will be just another ACC team not THE
ACC team.

I HATE FLORIDA STATE!!! well it makes sense since i am a MIAMI FAN!! i don't really care about florida state all i no is that Larry Cocker needs to be fired and leave! it has been a tough week for us Miami fan since the loss of our beloved Bryan Pata. may he rest in peace. i still don't think that we should play on saturday

right now i am supporting Rutgers considering that i live in Jersey. i think that Rutgers has a strong chance of making it to the championship. all i no is that Miami is done so i will just wait until next season to start supporting them again. it has been a difficult season.

oh yeah about your coach i think that he has a little time left but after next season he has to go....he was served a long time at FSU

I would say yes, but since he made some changes at quarterback. Starting Xavier Lee instead of Drew Weatherford. He may have saved this year's season.

It is killing me to see a Bowden-coached team do so poorly. He has nothing left to prove. Maybe it is time.

Sadly, I must agree. He has done amzing things but the truth is, he is well past him prime and it is time to breath some new life into the program and let him take his place in history.

It is sad, but it is life. Let someone else come in and have a chance.

No he should keep coaching. It makes it easier my team USC to go into Florida and steal recruits.
