I would recommend changing 3 1/2 into an improper fraction.

So 3 1/2 will become 7/2.

Now we are multiplying 7/2 and 3/4.

Remember when multiplying fraction we say top times top and bottom times bottom.

So we will have (7 x 3) / (2 x 4), which is 21/8.

21/8 as a mixed number becomes 2 5/8.

Hope this helps!

First, change 3 1/2 into improper fraction by multiplying 3 and 2 and 1. So, you will get 7/2. Then, multiply numerators and denominators. 7x3 = 21 and 2/4 = 8. You will get 21/8. Then divide 21 by 8. The quotient will be 2 and the remainder will be 5. You answer is 2 5/8.

2 5/8. Did you know you can Google math problems too? I just put in 3.5 * .75 and got 2.625. That's 2 5/8.
