...then does it at least bother you that Al Qaida is more jubilant than ever?

It's hard to tell which talking point come from the Democrats as opposed to the terrorists. I have a bad feeling about this election.

It's good to know that the Democrats are in good company. Actually, I hope they do have a plan to get us out of there (they don't, by the way), and I also hope that they can implement this "plan" WITHOUT pushing their nutty liberal social agenda on us. If they can do that, then I'll be ok with it.

No, but it does bother me that the terrorists are happy about it.

Basically the entire free world is glad that the Bush Regime finally had its collective azz handed to itself by the American people. Bush cultists are officially the crackpot minority now - you realize that, right?

As for the article you linked here to prove your supposed point...as usual, it proves exactly, precisely the opposite.

'(Al-Masri) urged Bush not to withdraw U.S. forces so al-Qaida could have more opportunities to fight U.S. soldiers. "We haven't had enough of your blood yet," he told the U.S.'

Ya see - he's supporting the BUSH policy in Iraq, the old "stay the course." '"Remain steadfast in the battlefield, you coward," he said, addressing Bush.' (Ever notice how these people sound EXACTLY like your typical right-wing gun-nut redneck? Coincidence?)

So even if the Dem policy IS "cut and run" (which it's not), that's exactly the opposite of what Al-Qaida wants us to do, so you can just stop pretending that they're "jubilant" over the Dem sweep.

Other than that, the article is basically talking about how Al Qaida is glad to see Rummy go, but only a true moron would take that as vindication of the guy. Naturally they're going to try to spin any substantial change in policy or personnel as a "victory."

Get over it, you lost, quit whining. Pretty annoying when somebody says that to you, isn't it?

P.S. as for your "nutty liberal social agenda" remarks - maybe if Republicans weren't able to convince backwoods neanderthal idiots to vote their religious bigotries on "issues" that simply don't matter (e.g. gay marriage - why should you possibly care?), rather than looking at the REAL problems facing this country, we wouldn't be in this Iraq quagmire in the first place. That plan failed this time, simply because the real problems have become so obvious that the GOP could no longer distract reasonable people with their sideshow of non-issues. But until all these ignorant hicks get a lot smarter on the whole, they'll always be open to exploitation by scumbags pandering to their petty, irrelevant prejudices.

Funny - I've never heard a Republican say they care about the views of the French (remember Freedom Fries) or Europe. We are America - it doesn't matter what other countries think, it just matter what we think.

I'm glad we've had a change. The Republicans spent six years with their snouts in the trough feeding off of our heroic young men and women - making big money out of war while our children died for their country. The didn't do a thing to strengthen our borders at home, didn't scan shipments coming in by plane, or by ship. They didn't implement the 9/11 Commissions recommendations, and they did nothing to control illegal immigration. The Dems can't do any worse!

Im sorry but we have had democrats and republicans filling all kinds of seats in our politcal arena for a long time and democrats dont = terrorist love. Ths is so silly and it is obviously working to scare everyone up. OOOOHH the democrats are bad, so silly. I don't believe the terrorits are so jubilent, but I do believe that thats what the Republicans want you to think and hmmm curiously you are thinking that. Looks like it is working. Fear equals bad government. It is a tactic that works for republicans and sure enough they will use it again.
Why wouldn't they. They don't want to loose power and control.

In response to "Truth" 4 more dead does not equate to democrats. Yes there are bad people in the world, and they are not being ignored obviously, but the only reason they are in that position is over oil. You cannot wipe out every bad person and if you could, more would come. Life will always have good and bad, but don't let the bad people scare you into foolish decisions.

A recent editorial in The Daily Star newspaper (Beirut, Lebanon) says "Democrats are even more dependent, financially and politically, on the pro-Israel lobby than Republicans. This means that Washington's mindless support for the Jewish state's intransigent approach to the Middle East's core problem --- the Palestinian-Israel conflict --- is likely to remain intact".

Our voters listened to New York and Hollywood, California again instead of using their brains. Does that give you a warm fuzzy feeling?

Oh, come off it. Even Rumsfeld finally admitted that our plans in Iraq weren't working and the enemy is stronger than ever. You live in a fantasy world where everything is black and white.
Do you think that our troops are fighting for a divided America? You want us to be as divisive as the Sunnis and Shiites. We are all Americans and we want the best for our country.
Our European friends have been dismayed by our actions. They offerred to help us after 9/11 and their help was refused. Did you know that there are French troops in Afghanistan fighting side by side with our soldiers right now?
Get your head out of the sand. Stop listening to the lies of Rush, Coulter and O'Reilly. Americans are sick of the hate and negativity.
America is based on a 2 party system of checks and balances. That's what it means to be in a democratic society.

Nobody has seriously considered the French a moral, economic, military, politcal, or intellectual presence since Napolean.

I'm sure that if something happens, all those bitter Republicans will start saying, "See? You shouldn't have sent us out of Washington." The Republicans will do everything that they can to blame their mistakes on the Democrats. They just need to accept the blame for Iraq and move on.

Colorado is right. Plus I think that the Democrats would be pansies if Al Qaida stomped in. That's probably why the rats are so happy, now they can do anything they want to us.
