I'm sure neither was really thrilled about the luncheon. Hopefully they both used the time to discuss the relization that the democrats have been locked out of control for a long time due to their wash it down the drain approach to government. The republicans on the other hand have lost their political power due to their willingness to line the government till with big business money gained by giving them more control over foreign market policies. If they don't want to see a loss of the whole thing to and independant, which by the way we've seen stronger followings towards such political dark horses in the last 4 elections, then they had better start thinking of homeland security as a financial issue as well as a physical one. I agree that a terrorist threat exists, and that alot of drugs are coming to us from across the borders, but these are the places your people will turn to when they feel like they have been ignored by a government who is supposed to be listening to them and doing things in their best interest. Sometimes that doesn't match what some other government or financial gainer had in mind.

Actually,, Bush and Pelosi families are pretty tight.
Its funny how we regular people sometimes can almost hate a person of the opposing political party.
But, these political pros are able to call eachother the worst things to the media and be best friends behind closed doors.. There all branches cut from the same tree. But i do think bush may have needed a spoon full of sugar to get his food down.

I believe very difficult for both parties. The future is on balance for these folks to work together as both have a lot to lose if they don't. 2008 is just around the corner so all incentive is for the two parties to adjust and work things out. I am optimistic this will happen.

Well, since it has been fairly obvious that Pelosi and Bush absolutely despise each other, they were both probably choking down their food while smiling through their hatred.
