recently i just moved from california to texas and i like to wear bright eye shadows so it look kind of like a lot sometimes but no one wheres make up out here really and i hate it y?

I live in Dallas and I don't wear makeup on a daily basis but I do on occasion. The main reason I don't wear it is because I don't think I need to. It is a personal preference, in my twenties I wore makeup every single day no matter where I was going. Now, in my early thirties, I mostly just make sure my skin is clean and moisturized with a spf lotion and leave it at that.
All my friends wear makeup all the time and they all live here so I'm not sure why you are seeing so many women not wearing makeup. Every time I leave the house I see women in makeup and many with too much makeup on!
I think it is cool that you moved here and are doing things your way with your own style. I just think that women here in Texas lead so many different types of lifestyles that we all do our own thing. I am a busy mom who spent most of my life taking care of me so now I focus everything on my kids and over the years my makeup has become less and less!:)
(I do put on lipgloss and mascara when I want a quick makeup fix!)

It may depend on "where" you moved to in Texas. Is it an urban area or more rural? Maybe they do wear those colors, but only when they go out at night. Maybe it's just not a trend there. I'm sure that's not the only thing that's different about Texas. I wouldn't stop wearing it just because nobody else does it. Just be you.

I would have to say women from Texas like the more natural look during the day and California is just full of plastics. Wear your make-up though girl...who cares....I like to wear smokey eye shadows when I go out.....and I am from Texas. Maybe it is a day and night thing....

you have got to be kidding me right? What part of Texas are you in? In Dallas there are lots of women who wear make up. Some women wear lots of make up too. Bu there does seem to be a trend to use makeup more sparingly and go wth a more natural look. Heck, Mary Kay Cosmetics has their annual convention hear, that should tell you something.

Maybe they wear bright colors at clubs and they wear more natural makeup during the day. I'm sure many people in texas like wearing bright makeup, like the dallas cow boy cheerleaders.

I WEAR makeup and I am a Texan. Just give it some time and try different styles. You are right, not many of us wear bright colors, but there's nothing wrong with that. Who knows, maybe it will be a new fad here!

Maybe because it's so hot and dry. But my friend's mom is from Texas and she said that when she was growing up they started wearing make up at like, age 9 though.

Im not sure where you are living, but in Dallas, a lot of people wear too much makeup.
It depends on where you live.
Here in AUstin there are a lot of more laid-back, relaxed, natural people, so they dont wear it as much.
