Your nipples will be soft until the baby starts breastfeeding. Then they toughen up. That is why you hear of women having bleeding or cracked nipples when they first start nursing.

They toughen up after the baby has been breastfeeding for a while. Not before. DOnt worry about it. Im 20 weeks with my 4th baby and I have breastfed all of the others so far. Its fine what you are experiencing.

I too am 22 weeks as we talk truthfully lol, i understand what you recommend and that i had an identical difficulty for the previous couple of days..... i hit upon that throughout the time of those weeks of being pregnant constipation is user-friendly (I truthfully have 5 others toddlers) and had an identical difficulty. I take a laxitive and get the bowel empty and that i become effective truthfully went in the previous and experience super now, I ahd to try this with my different 5 as nicely and did it often cuz i felt heavy and finished and stress as quickly as the bowel is empty that is a relife vast time good good fortune

They don't "toughen up" on their own. It is the baby breastfeeding that toughens them up. During your pregnancy they will kinds a change as the hormones change and fluctuate. If you are concerned just ask you OB on your next visit.
Here is a link to an article that talks about the changes during your pregnancy:

Mine did that. But they hurt like heck! they'll fluctuate between hard and soft... but the real test will be when the baby starts feeding. then they'll get toughened up!

Your body will go through many changes during your pregnancy. Don't be concerned yet, or if you are do some reading at the library or call your doctors office.

Sweety you have to make your nipples tough. They don't just get like that because you are pregnant. Try using cocobutter cream on them. It might help.
