and could it have been too soon for one?
My period was 4 days early and only 3 days long and light it wasnt my normal period. i took the blood test at the doc office and they said it was neg. how accurate are they

They are pretty acurate, but if for some reason you miscalculated your cycle or if they tested too soon then yes you will get a negative, i am showing all signs of being pregnant i am even two days late on my period and i keep getting negatives but i am going to go and get a blood test done on monday if i dont start by then give it some time and just wait it out if after a few days that you have been late you dont start go back and get another blood test done.

They are pretty accurate but it may have been early. You could take a urine test at this point and it will come up positive if you are pregnant. If it comes up negative then you probably are not pregnant. There are alot of factors that can make your period go crazy. Stress diet, exercise. I'm sure you've heard it all. The blood testing tests the different hormone levels so they can tell really early if you are pregnant. They were probably accurate. Better luck next month.

Labs are usually extremely accurate. However, I had a friend that kept test negative on both urine and blood test for pregnancy and she kept arguing with her dr over it. He sent her for an ultrasound and yes she was right she was 100% pregnant. 6 mo. into the pregnancy she FINALLY had a positive blood test.

THe blood test is normaly pretty accurate most of the time.
It could be to early to tell though.
My friend had 3 blood test before they told her that she was pregnat . But she was pregnat the whole time.
Best part about it that she is now having twins.

Blood test are pretty accurate. Maybe your cycle is just changing...BUT you should have asked the nurse (or doctor) what you BETA Hcg numbers were. Anything under 5 means you are not pregnant.

That's pretty early to say... usually they will look at the HCG levels in your blood. if it's there at all, they'll probably wait a couple of days and do another one to see if the levels have increased. If it's not there, then it's just not there.
