he's one of my all-time favourite film stars, as well as being a brilliant stand-up comic. my favourite films of his are trading places, beverley hills cop (the first one), 48 hours, coming to america, bowfinger, metro and the nutty professor, where he played the entire klump family, excluding the son. do you have any favourite quotes or moments from any of his movies?

mines are: 'look man, i ain't falling for no banana in my tailpipe!'- (axel foley), (48 hours, in response to jack played by nick nolte who says: 'class isn't something you buy. look at you. you've got on a $500 suit and you're still a low life and reggie hammond goes: 'yeah but i look good!'. another favourite of mines was in trading places when as billy ray, he says as he pretends to be handicapped with no legs: 'hey baby, what's happenin'? i know what you're thinkin' baby, once you have a man with no legs, there's no goin' back' and as the woman walks away he says: 'we can make it baby! me and you!...ya *****! FUNNY

I'm much more of an Old School Eddie fan, so I would break it down like this:

Trading Places
48 Hours
Coming To America
Harlem Nights
Beverly Hills Cop
Golden Child
Another 48 Hours
Beverly Hills Cop II

He's got some really interesting things coming out over the next couple years though....check it:

"Untitled Brett Ratner Project (2008) (announced)...

Untitled Eddie Murphy/Romeo and Juliet Project (2008) (announced)...

Starship Dave (2008) (pre-production)...

Norbit (2007) (post-production) .... Norbit"

48 Hours is my favorite Eddie Murphy flick. Both of those movies are great.

You start running a respectful business and I won't have to come in here and hassle you every night. You know what I mean?
And I want the rest of you cowboys to know something, there's a new sheriff in town. And his name is Reggie Hammond. So Y'all be cool. Right on.

All right, knock this **** off! I HAVE BEEN HAVING A VERY BAD DAY! I just got out of jail this morning! Already I've been shot at, I was on a bus that flipped over seventeen times, ***** tried to stab me in the bathroom, and somebody blew up my Porsche! I am in a BAD goddamn mood! Now I usually don't step in on things like this, but this man Jack Cates is gonna help me straighten out the rest of my day! So I suggest you all back up, and let us go about our business!

His lines were funny as hell.
