Bad rule by NBA, Quick Techs?

What do U think of the quick whistles this year. Do U think the refs will be this quick with techs in the playoffs? The emotions of Garnett and Iverson are what make watching the NBA entertaining. Without the emotions the game seems lacking.

I am definitely against this rule. The techs are getting way out of hand. It's as if the officials don't want the players to express emotions, as if they were machines. The emotion is what makes games exciting!! I can understand the loud, obnoxious whining on every call, but they give techs for just reacting on a call u don't like!! And I hope they don't give these quick techs in th playoffs. I actually think these quick techs are hindering the game more than the complaining is.

I like it .... for now.

They need to change the culture some and I've always hated watching a player complain while his opponent goes down and scores.

I think if the refs are quick to T early in the season, it will change the culture somewhat and they'll back off as the season progresses.

No, I don't think they'll be as quick in the play-offs. The better refs keep themselves out of the spotlight and "let them play", fewer fouls should be called. There is an unspoken rule in the last two minutes ... they rarely call fouls near the end.

In general, I wish they'd re-vamp the foul system entirely. I hate watching my favorite player sit on the bench.

I actually like it. The whining and complaining in the NBA was out of control. There is nothing I hate more than seeing million dollar athletes throw little girl tantrums every time the whistle blows. I think this was the only option that the NBA had to deal with this problem, and if it keeps me from having to see Ginobili act like hes going to cry with every foul call then its a good thing.

i think the refs are calling too many techs.. they are too sensitive. it affects the game of the players..
