Very good question. Well, you're certainly more likely to get more intelligent questions, for the most part, at the press conference. As for answers, it's easy: at Yahoo! about 20% intelligent and honest responses; at the conference, zero.

It amazes me. Bush's policies had created all this financial mess (tax cuts, out of control spending, severe priced Iraq conflict, etc.), then now throws the blame on Congress who were opposing his irresponsible financial policies from the start and who already gave the warning in the past that such policies will harm the financial device interior the circumstances back. what's worse is that Bush now claims that he had no administration on the financial device. that is outright ridiculous. If a president would not have any administration on the financial device, then why all the presidential applicants provide provides to repair the financial device in the event that they have been given elected?. that is merely absurd. on the different hand, Bush took all the credit for himself at a time while the financial device become doing nicely.

Duh...that's a no-brainer!
Don't use "intelligent" and "Bush" in the same sentence, please.
I thought Bush was especially sanctimonious at Wednesday's press conference when he started by asking, "Why all the glum faces?" and then went on to say that he had called Nancy Pelosi and gave her the name of the White House interior decorator so she have new drapes made!
Whether it was his attempt at being funny, or just plain dumb, it came off as unintelligent, poorly-timed, and obtuse. -RKO-

All I know is that in those press conferences aren't any truths. Example: Rummsfeld will stay until the end.
