I used to get teased for wearing glasses and my teeth, by other school children. Now i get told that glasses really suit me and that i have a nice smile.

It can be harsh but the best thing is to try and not let them get to you.

I was teased horribly by my classmates and brother. I had a big ole gap in my front teeth, I had freckles and was named something very embarassing. I was a very lonely kid, didn't have friends because we were a military family and moved ALL the time. My brother lived with my grandparents and was stable and had a lot of friends, so it really hurt when he, the only person I really, really loved teased me. Teachers didn't seem to like me either, probably because I talked non stop. I was as an outcome, a horribly annoying preteen and a defiant and bullying teenager. On the good side, I found a way to turn it all around and now I help kids who are abused or neglected. It gives me a little of the power back that i didn't have as a kid and helps me to empower other children. Hope this helps. Nana

1. Wearing glasses
2. Getting good grades and trying hard
3. Unfashionable clothing
4. "talking funny" (using proper English instead of slang and intentional bad grammar)
5. Having my own personality and not being a follower
6. Not wearing a fashionable hairstyle every day
7. Not being good at sports

In other words, either things that are unimportant, or things that a kid in school should be doing anyway. It was always classmates; on account of the good grades thing, teachers liked me.
It seems that if kids don't fit in to the "cool crowd" (however that works) right away, then they get teased for just about everything, even if it's something that would otherwise be "acceptable" to do. For example, While I was teased for being bad at sports, other popular girls were bad too--it would mess up their hair and makeup, or they wouldn't look as cute--but it was OK for them to be bad at it.
Back then, it wasn't as bad as it is now. It was just stupid comments from people who weren't your friends anyway. But now it seems like kids try so hard to band together and ostracize, embarrass and emotionally destroy those that are not like them. It is a shame, because this kind of behavior is what leads to tragedies like school shootings in the kids who are less stable and unable to take the constant harrassment, and parents and schools don't seem to step in much until it's already too late.

Teasing is making relaxing and that is not an remarkable component of do. that is bullying that still is abusive. i might get teased too verbally and bodily. even with the undeniable fact that the two way that is loss of admire. those that tease you at the instant are not your acquaintances. They envy you for something and that's not good. Making relaxing of others is a disrespect and if it occurs plenty it must be reported to the instructor, counselor, and crucial.

bullying is a serious issue today because we falsely believe that there can be a world without conflict and power structures.

sure bullies are often covering for their own failings. sure it is "bad behavior". lol. what do you want to hear?

grow up and grow a set. set an example for others to follow. assert yourself.

otherwise.....get used to being bullied. you may find that a harsh statement, but those who lack the self confidence to assert themselves will always be viewed as weak. and....the truth of the matter is that those in the pecking order just above you (weak, just not as much as you) will pick on you to grab onto what little power and control they can in life. ;) that's human nature. been that way for several thousand years. wishing it were different won't make it go away.

All Bully's look for weakness, and most are actually cowards, so the only way to stop a bully is to beat the sheet out of him/her. During my grade school years I stopped several bully's from picking on me, as well as my friends by kicking them square on the balls first, then as they keeled over I punched them in the face, and the ironic part of it is the fact that most of them became my friends as result.

oh. teasing is never for me. This is because i mix with the right people and friendly to the wrong one. Teasing is one way to make fun of people and trying to get attention. you just have to believe in yourself and be confident. don't ever let your self down, have the spirit in yourself.
