Because their brains are set up to work that way. Men and women's brains work differently...it's a scientific fact. Each has their own set of strengths and weaknesses, relatively speaking. I'd say women are more emotionally sensitive, but not more inquisitive...just inquisitive about different things. I've rarely heard a woman ask, "How does the carbuerator work?"

They're not. Men can be just as inquisitive and sensitive as women if not more so.
Stop with the stereotypes.

Its built into the hormonal systems.... and its quite obvious really to anyone who understands behavioural evolution.
In the past... men were the hunters... and women stayed at home to raise children and the like. That is why men are more logical as a general trend than women (for coordinating hunting strategies and the like) while women are more empathic as a general trend than men (for better raising their offspring and dealing with other women in a non-urgent environment).
There is much the same explanation for why men have better 3D visualisation skills and women have better multi-tasking skills.... Its all ideally suited to particular roles in life.
And naturally, in modern society this is beginning to confuse people as these differences are beginning to rise to the surface.... mostly because they aren't as necessary for separate roles in a society where everyone is working toward interchangeable equality and the like. Its little wonder therefore that gradually these former advantages are starting to fade away..... that more sensitive men who can multi-task better are starting to show up..... just as more logical women with 3D visualisation capability are likewise starting to arise. We're deviating toward the middle.... but we aren't there yet.

I don't believe this question to be true at all. Not all women are the same and not all men are the same. Every person is different as an individual. Don't categorize all women to be the same....I know a lot of women who are not sensitive at all and a lot of men who are.....

I don't think women are necessarily more inquisitive; but I do think they are more sensitive in general than men because of their 'caring nurturing' nature -- probably a function of the motherhood psyche or additional alleles located on the extra X chromosome. Sometimes I think XY genotype provides for crassness secondary to testosterone overload ... but there is definitely a correlation between maleness and insensitivity in general -- with exceptions to every rule of course !

Interesting. Are we really? I am not so sure. I have met extremely sensitive men who were deeply curious and tolerant. I think we are all over layered with enormous cultural expectations and stereotypes. The more we can break free of those and see one another as both sexual and intellectual partners, the better off we will all be.

Because being more sensitive makes it easier for women to cry a lot, which they need to do to make men feel guilty, which helps them get what they want.

Not all women are. I think most are because we are women, we lead with our feelings our emotions. Men tend to lead with more tangible things, what they can see, hear, touch.
