You probably hit your delete key by accident. Hit your insert key and then start typing. That should fix it.

You turned "overwrite" on, by pressing your Insert key (you can find it in between the letter section of the keyboard and the number pad). To turn overwrite off, just press the Insert key again (it's a toggle, like Caps Lock).

Ur settings of the s/w probably are set to overwrite. Please change the same. If u press "Insert" key before starting to type, u will save urself this predicament at least for that session.

It sounds like you may have to press the insert key, it is located near the home key on your keyboard. Hope that helps.

The `insert' key acts like a toggle switch.. once you press it, it starts inserting words.. press it again and it starts overwriting words.. so just hit insert once

I totally know what you mean! If this ever happens, just click 'INSERT'. It is located on the keyboard above the arrows and this should fix the problem.

Hit your "insert" key

Should change your typing BACK to "insert text" from "overwrite text"

You have to make sure that the "over-type" button is off. Otherwise you will have a problem.

at the bottom of microsoft you see where it says OVR. if it is black and not faded like the rest, the computer turns the feature on automatically sometimes, double click OVR and it will stop till it fades away too.
