About 9 months or so ago, i started to have a recurring dream, whereas there is a large Tiger, that seems to be stalking me, i see it, in the street, and am terrified, i run home, and it is in my house, and i flee, petrified, knowing it is out to get me. One dream i had, it was sniffing round my little girl snarling when i arrived home, i awoke with fear. Last night, i had the dream, but this time it was a large Wolf, it chased me, i ran home, and it was in my house when i got there. I awoke with fear, as it pounced me, pinning me down, with its teeth round my throat. What the hell does this mean, why am i having these dreams, does it mean something?

Ganymede, i have had occasions, whereas i have woken up, feeling pinned down, but paralysed, so helpless, so i take deep breaths, and wait for it to pass, it is very scary when it happens.

First of all, your dreams indicate a big fear in your end. Perhaps something has happened 9 months ago.
House = safety zone
Large Tiger,Wolf = high authority, fear
Being chased = criticized, yelled at
Teeth round your throat = threat
You probably have some sort of privacy invasion that happened 9 months ago. If not, it could be something happened that you had to deal high authorities. It could be police, court, or anyone you don't like to deal with. That fear lurks into your subconscious mind and it became resolved issues. To project large wolf, tiger to chase could mean you feel insecure about those figures around you. This could symbolize some words your heard 9 months ago. You put the animals in your mind because in your subconscience those are bad things and they represent fear in your head. That is why you vent it out over and over again in dream.
Your dream is recurring. That means, you have to understand it and find out what caused it. Once you found out, it would be easier to get it off your mind. However, there is a way to get rid of recurring dream. Before you sleep, tell you that you are going to see those large wolf, tiger in your mind. Do it right before you sleep, by suppressing your thought, they will not come and bother you. But of course, that is only a short term solution. You have to examine your life and see why you had those dreams.
Another possibity is that some movie gave you a very bad impression, that could also cause you dream that. In that case, find the movie and view it again. Fight fear with fear will work sometimes as well

Dreams definetly mean something.
But it depends on whether this was a dream, lucid dream or OBE (out of body experience).
If you have had OBE´s before or waking paralisis (waking up frozen, can´t move but conscous)this could be an entity trying to scare you into not progressing. Its a sort of "fuse" for testing if your are ready for astral travel, if not you get scared back down.
Try and relax the next time it happens, this is difficult but try it. Then ask God (relative to your belief if your an athiest it doesn´t matter just ask God) for help in solving the problem, this may seem a too easy an option but Im speaking from experience, (a far nastier experience) and it worked with me.
If its a Lucid dream you can control it, try and change things, turn the animal into a mouse then dismiss it, you have to be relaxed to do this as these things feed off negative energy like fear.
If its just a dream where you awake normally and think "wow what a horrible dream" then it may be trying to tell your something. What that something is is hard to tell without knowing someone´s life style etc. Maybe your walk about at night too much and the chance of getting mugged is hightened by this, as an example.

I don't put much merit in dream books or second-hand dream interpretation but I had a dream of snakes coming out of my stomach which scared the hell outta me. Had a very uneasy feeling about my health so I went to the doctor. Turned out I was really sick. Not saying 'go to the doctor, you are sick!' No, I'm saying try to examine the feelings around the dream. If you have/had any concerns regarding anything- yourself, a friend, a situation in your life- maybe you should take a closer look into it. Dreams are the subconscious communication between our bodies and our minds, you have to examine what the elements mean to you as an individual before you can understand the message.

Dream interpretation is purely subjective. Never refer to a dream dictionary because what a tiger or a wolf means to one person, can mean totally different to someone else. The same goes with a house. To someone who has been abused through out their childhood, a house can be terrifying, whereas to someone else, its a safe haven. In order to determine your dreams true meaning and to figure out a way to resolve it, I'd have to ask you a series of questions and get your reply, in which you can email it to me. Home is obviously a safe haven for you, but what other thoughts or feelings do you associate with your house? When you run home, do you feel like you are able to run as fast as you can, or do feel like you are trying your hardest and only moving slowly? You used to work "stalking", are you in debt, finding it hard to pay bills on time or going through a divorce, in a bad relationship, or pregnant? The tiger sniffing around your little girl tells me someone is out to take something away from you that you cherrish, not necessarily your little girl. Can you recall what changed in your life 9 months ago that's different then your normal routine? It could be a realization of something or someone. There are a lot of key words you use to tell about your dream. Focus on those key words and ask yourself, what do those words mean to you, how do they make you feel, what other things do you associate with those words. For example your home. How does your home make you feel? Do you wish you didn't live there, is it a safe place, any fond or bad memories, is it a money pit, anyone else live there that you wish didn't. Your dream is open to a lot of interpretation. Hope this helps. Feel free to email me if you'd like.

The meaning of tiger and wolf are actually the same. Both of these animals signify power, particularly bought on by anger and aggression. If either of these animals are acting in an aggressive manner towards you indicates a warning to beware of enemies who have gained your confidence. A tiger can also symbolise strength and courage.

I have dreams like that about dogs, they are very frightening, also sometimes about tigers, but they dont usually catch me, the dogs do though and I am glad when I wake up and realise its a dream. dont really know what they are meaning, maybe it is something in real life that you have a phobia about, I know Im really scared of dogs in real life and will cross the road to get away from them. its not every day you meet up with a tiger though.try the website below

.... I don't normally interpret other peoples dreams for them. .. This is actually a rather "un-kosher" thing to do,.. and you would normally do well to avoid letting anyone else interpret your dreams. .... Better to ask others for whatever associations come to mind for them when they think of a particular image (which may be present in a dream of yours).
... I suspect you are going to get a bunch of folks here giving you their interpretation of your dreams however. ........... I just want to share with you that from my experience in working with the unconscious over 30 plus years,... that whenever you are being pursued by something in your dreams,.. this thing that is pursuing you is in fact an aspect of yourself that you have "Dis-owned" within yourself. .... It is a part of you that is pushing to be "re-claimed" by your psyche.
I would also share with you that a wild animal,... and a carnivore no less,.. is an image of a very powerful and primal energy or aspect of the psyche. ... Such energies are associated with strength and power and survival and protection. ............ In tribal cultures around the world,... it was commonly understood amongst the "shaman" (medicine men),.. that a persons power often comes to them in the form of a wild animal,.. .or "power animal".
.... In terms of the unconscious,... if someone has suppressed or dis-owned an aspect of themselves,.... (and this is most commonly found to be the case where our "instinctual" or "primal" aspects of ourselves are concerned),... at some point this or these aspects of ourselves will push to be re-integrated within the psyche. ............. That will very commonly take place within dreams in the form of that or those aspects of the psyche chasing the dreamer.
Once you have overcome your fear of these aspects of yourself and are able to stop running from them,.. and you turn and face them,.... they will transform into a benevolent and empowering aspect of yourself.
A good book for you to read would be one entitled; "INNER WORK" By, .. Robert Johnson. ... That book will help you to learn how to understand and work with your unconscious.
Hope this helps.

Sounds like you're very worried about something or someone.
Something must have happened nine months ago and you haven't resolved it yet.
Face up to your fears and sort them out if you can.
