it was his first real offense other than traffic violations. He has been charged with unlawful driving away of a automobile and driving on a suspended license ( 2nd offense). He didn't put up a fight or resist arrest. I was just wondering what the likelyhood would be of him getting probation?

it's the first time he has been in trouble like this.... he is not on probation now for the suspended license. But he did get charged with unlawful driving away of a automobile. Before this he never got anymore than a traffic violation. He's been compliant to all the courts and cops have asked of him so far.

it depends on a number of factors. He still might get probation,if he has been in compliance with his current probation. Tell him to ask for a public defender,or hire an attorney.

2nd offense for driving while suspended usually revokes your license in most places. He'll probably get fined and probation from jail, but will lose driving priviledges for 3-5 years

Itt depends on the laws in your state and county..
It is mre likely he will get a bit more than simple probation..
No doubt, he will have to pay a fine, get more time added to his liscence suspension, probably have to attend some sort of counseling, and probation...
worst case would be a a few days jail added to the above..

Why don't you get another boyfriend?

Sounds like he's a freaking loser going no where in life.
Maybe he wants to go to jail so he can get some buttsex from his fellow homofag cellmates

I am no expert and I would not want to create false hopes, but it sounds likely to me. He needs good legal advice, though. The best you all can afford. Always important.

If the guy is broke than it's a done deal. But if he has money he will walk. This is America.
