Ya know, I'm getting pissed at people from other countries criticizing our country and our president. The US is great as long as we're protecting some second rate nation but if we attempt to protect ourselves, well, we're just evil bulies. George Bush didn't ask for a war against a phantom enemy. An enemy that calls no nation home. An enemy that wears no uniform. An enemy that kills women and children as part of a strategy. An enemy that fires, then runs and hides behind those same women and children. An enemy that teaches it children to hate people of other religions. An enemy that straps bombs on its children and sends them to pizza parlors to blow up innocent people. And George Bush is the bad guy here? It's just damn sad that people don't understand who and what we're fighting and why we went to Iraq in the first place. As for America being a "better place". You stinking socialists wish you had it so good.

Unless somebody stops him from speaking to the press or giving speeches I don't think he can be muzzled and it was the GOP congress that did a the real damage to the US Govt/American people so it's more important that they no longer have the majorities. The only major issue that Dubya can really be muzzled is on Iraq. On immigration Bush and the Dems are not that far apart with the guest worker program.

The president still has a veto on foreign policy. The Democrats now have their dirty hands on the purse strings. I can't believe that the US wants more of the Democrats, and possibly more of the Clintons. All this because of Iraq. Voters shouldn't be so fickle; your country may still need defending. Do you think that the Democrats are up to it after Iraq. I think not.

A Lame Duck president (in the last two years of his last term), a divided Senate (last I heard it was 49 rep, 49 Dem, 2 Indies who vote Dem), and a Democratic held house. One could hardly ask for a more ineffective government. Very little will happen, good or bad. But considering that this is not a good time for an inactive government, probably things will get a little worse (but I doubt by much).

I do not know if the US will be a better place, but I"m sure hoping the World will be.
It was nice to see that constant smug grin wiped from his face when the election results came through.
He must be the most unpopular President for decades, and I"m sure the American people can"t wait till 2008.

It will take a while to repair the damage he has done.
He can continue to issue executive orders but the Congress can deny him the money to implement any of them. So, now, he won't be able to invade countries at will.
