We are having a birthday party for a 5 yr. old. What can you fill a pinata with besides candy?

you could get a bunch of those "toys" out of the quarter machines that you see at WalMarts, KMarts, and everywhere else - that way they'll be in that little plastic bubble and you won't have to worry about them breaking or hurting anybody when they the pinata is broken

at toys r us they have a BIG bag of pinata fillers its a mix of candy and lots of little toys 1 bag for 5.99 will be enough

Also there is a company called Oriental Trading that offers lots of inexpensive toys. http://www.orientaltrading.com/

maybe the kid would like it if you filled it with spider and cockroaches i think thats what they use to fill pinatas. oh wait maybe it filled with candy i like the spider idea better wouldnt that be great on video

Try little toys! You know, like paddle balls, mini stuffed animals, and maybe even little cartoon themed sun glasses!
