It might seem not, but part of the big thing that makes launch.yahoo.com legal is that there is revenue sharing, and that the media player does not let you play music on demand. This the same as what keeps pandora legal. On youtube however, you can get a video on demand, and no one makes money off of it.

No I am not afraid of getting sued..but anyone who likes youtube and wants it to stick around much longer should care.

SORRY the first two douchebags even asnwered this. but yeah its illegal. Mark Cuban (owner of the dallas mavericks NBA team) said it would be a very dumb move to buy you tube. the only reason why it wasnt being sued then is because there was no financial backing so they wouldnt get anything. Now its bought they have to watch their a$ $.

Its not breaking copyright law to watch the video, the problem would come if you decided to share the video with other people(ie: if you were to email it on)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is illegal, but it hasn't been explored by the RIAA or any of those other wonderful groups that want to make sure they get as much of our money as possible yet...
