I think some of you are a bit mistaken on this one. I do not think you can serve in the military if you are in this country illegally. If you are a legal alien, then yes, probably in that case you can serve in the Army or Navy and that can be a path to citizenship. But not for illegal aliens.
I dont think we would want to have such an incentive for people to come to our country illegally. Also, I don't think it would be wise or right to allow people to enter into our military who have violated to law in order to get here.

Sounds like a good idea to boost the numbers of the forces, however, I would not like to have someone who has been forced to join up watching MY back when the Sh1t hit the fan!
