how much dose a Tortoise cose and are they hard 2 look after.?

A Tortoise/turtle can range in price from inexpensive to high cost. But they are easy to look after I had a box turtle for many years. All they require is water and lettuce and sometimes some other green veggie. I used to keep my in a fish tank with some water and a rock/sand area that he could lay on.
I would clean tank every so often when it looked as if it was needed. Once in awhile I would take him out and let him swim in the bath tub and let him walk around for exercise. Some like ground meat, but for the most part they like lettuce. I wouldn't put him in with the lizard as they might not get along.

It can cost a couple hundred bucks to set up the right habitat, with the humidity usually being the trickiest part (some want almost none, others need almost 100%, and most wanting in the 70% area)

The tortoise itself can cost from about $50 to several hundred bucks. Sadly, the cheaper species are often the worst pets. Russians and Sulcatas, for example, are poor starter choices for most people.

Many tortoises get big enough to demand a huge pen, and can live long enough that you'll need to leave care directions for your grandparents in your will.

It depends what type of tortoise you get... I have a Russian Tortoise and that cost me $450 (canadian doller). It's environment can cost up to $200...
There fairly easy to take care of. However you might want to potty train it because cleaning up after its pee and poo is not ... the most fun thing to do...
