I have a some Glowlight Danios that are really great. My problem is that one is especially aggressive. He (or so I assume due to coloring, shape and size) is the biggest one and chases all of the other danios around the tank. He eats up most of the food so not everyone gets an even amount. Is he just playing around or is this a problem? There have not been any injuries so far but I do worry about the other danios.

If he is not damaging or hurting the others then I wouldnt worry about it. I havent had danios for many years now but from what I can remember they all did what you are discribing. I think it may actually be there way of communicating. As far as the food issue dont start putting more food in to give the others a chance you will foul the water. They will be fine what you can do to help though is spread the food over the surface of the water he cant be in all the places at the same time. Good Luck.

If it's the largest danio in the tank its most likley a female. Females are larger then the males and have more shape to there bodies. Males are smaller and have very straight almost sticklike bodies.

Its only a problem if the other danios cant eat. Try spreading your food out over the top of the water a little more so she cant guard it all at once.

Sounds like it could be a problem - especially if the other fish aren't getting any food. Do the other fish seem stressed? (hiding from the big one, bottom sitting?) Do you ever see the big one chasing the others? Also, how big is your tank? If it's big enough so that all the fish can have their own space, I would suggest purchasing a tank divider to separate the big one from the others. He could potentially hurt the others or stress them out. Watch them closely and see what's going on.

Usually, the largest felmale will chase the other Danios. It's a chase game, not a problem.
