Most female mammals use the buttocks when attracting mates. There is a hypothesis that female humans developed enlarged breasts - which look similar to the buttocks - after they began walking upright, so they could attract mates that way.

We're the only mammals that have permanently enlarged breasts. Chimpanzees breasts become prominent when they are sexually receptive. Our perma-boobs are natures way of tricking male hominids into long term relationships with females for child rearing purposes.

I would speculate that enlarged breats would be a natural instinctive signal of an appropriate partner for reproduction. It is believed that red lips and high heels are a way of triggering those instincts of mating readiness as well.
