No7 Intelligent Colour Foundation - this is fab- looks natural but gives enough cover. Does not block pores and also protects skin from sun and cold weather so stops drying. I had eczema and no probs with this- i love it. The colours are so natural too.

I have been searching for the best foundation that does NOT bring out dryness and fine lines. I have tried almost everything. I have tried the most expensive to the least expensive.
I tried Bare Minerals, but that actually accentuated the lines. The best ones for me were:
1) Make Up Forever......a french company. Very even and doesn't bring out the lines too much...
2) Jane Iredale -- Liquid Minerals foundation....Great coverage and a natural finish.
3) If the above items are too costly for you...you could try Wet'n'Wild's Ultimate Sheer Tinted Moisturiser. I like this better than Bare Minerals and it only costs around 3 or 4 dollars.

I also have combination skin. I can recommend a really really nice moisturiser first. Try St Ives Day Cream (moisture rich) for normal to dry skin. It's nice and thick when you put it on but is absorbed easily and gives a nice base to foundation. It also smells lovely, slightly medicated scent. As for foundation I am a great fan of Clinique Superbalanced foundation as it's ideal for combination skin, glides on and gives really good coverage, even when you have breakouts of zits!

Firstly, we need to decipher weither you are actually dry (flacky) or dehydrated (tight) in winter time. DRY lacks oil, DEHDRATED lacks water. Central heating may be dehydrating your skin.
Treat the skin from within firstly. Dehydrated needs you to drink lots more water, dry needs more oily fish and nuts.
If the skin flakes then exfoliate and moisturiser for dry skin.
If the skin is tight and lined, moisturiser for dehydrated skin.
The blemishes are usually due to menstruation (hormonal), tryTesco Compact or Lancome Long Lasting, Concealers. Lancome is the best I've used along with their Hyrazen Cream for dehydration.

Try a Neutragena foundation or Clinique, maybe even a Proactive foundation. If these don't work try not using foundation. That will help not getting blemishes, and try using an acne lotion to help not only prevent blemishes, but as well as give your face some moisture.

Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals. Although it's a powder it covers beautifully whatever your skin type, even dry or combination. It does not clog pores therefore does not cause spots, in fact the makeup is so pure, you can sleep in it. You can buy it on Ebay. I can't recommend highly enough.

i have oily skin but sometimes several spots on my skin gets dry... so i dont really noe wat i am.
but i think u should use purpose dual moisturizer with spf 15 ($7-$9) because its really gentle (good for ur dry skin) and its oil free so it wont make u break out. this brand is really trusted and gets a lot of good reviews- especially from acne-prone skins. also, its a good moisturizer. :]
after applying the moisturizer, use a water-base foundation such as maybelline pure. foundation. or a tinted moisturizer that is a moisturizer but has a sheer coverage as well (covergirl smoothers tinted moisturizer spf 15).
make sure they are all oil-free though.
