I have this sweater that I love but it has all these hangy pill things on it and it looks all frizzy for lack of a better word. Do you think it would help if I washed it inside out? The dry cleaners wasnt any help as they said they could get sued if they damage it with a pill razor thingy. Anyone know what to do? THanks.

Okay, I have this problem too, and theose sweater shaver gadgets are all junk. There are a few things that you can do to prevent this....
1. Dont wash your sweaters with anything "linty" (towels, sweatshirts, fleece, etc.)
2. wash on the gentle cycle
3. NEVER put in the dryer

So if you do that, adn still have all the ugly nappy lint balls, I have the best ever fix!
Ya know the razor that you used in the shower, and now its too dull to shave with? Dont throw it out! It now has a new life as a Sweater Shaver.
Lay your sweater flat and shave shave shave. I have even been able to shave a sweater while wearing it. It gets all the nappys off and makes it look new again. I find it to be easire if the sweater is dry, adn if the lint starts to collect on the sweater from being shaved ( falling off the razor) put the sweater in the dryer for a few minutes and all the lint will fall off.
**** Another tip*****
mix 1 part liquid fabric softener and 10 parts water in a spray bottle and spray your sweater before tossing in the dryer. it comes out soft, and smelling great. This also works for your wrinkled clothes, and saves time on ironing!!!!

You can get those little battery powered sweater pill removers. They are gentle and do not damage the sweater. The pill removers that look like a large razor do tug at the material more. Try a sewing shop or notions dept in a store.

If you have a dull throw away razor, then use it ,Just do it carefully not a lot of force. You can also use Masking tape or buy the Lint Shaver (the family one) big one. Or you can sit for a long long long etc etc etc etc time and pick them off.

Get a fuzz razor, if you ruin the sweater trying to fix it, what have you lost? A sweater that has tacky fuzzballs on it. What have you gained? A sweater you like. You have nothing to lose!
