Scran is a naval slang which simply means food. It's a Scottish term from the 1800s. At that time, sailors were given these supplements comprising of currants and nuts.

SCRAN = food, from a supplement sailors were once fed at sea; Sultanas, Currents, Raisans and Nuts.

Although round where I'm from (Northern England) people use it all the time to mean food - dint know it was Jackspeak.
