I have been saying all along that if Rutgers could keep the top 10 players from the New Jersey, New York City area home they would be in the top ten every year.
Year after year NJ, and NYC send players to Notre Dame, USC, Miami, Fla State, Florida, Michigan, and Ohio St, and Penn State.
And these players don't just go there they star!!!!!
Just this year alone Notre Dame is taking 4 players out of NJ.
Look out if Rutgers starts keeping the top players home.
Check how many players fron NJ are in the NFL. The top OL taken last year is from NJ. Heisman Trophy winners are from NJ.
Hopefully one day we can get to a situation were Championships are won on the field and not by who thinks who is better.

First off, that florida guy up there is wrong. The U sucks this year (Remember how badly they lost to Louisville?) Florida State is nowhere to be found (And couldn't stop Rutgers' run if they were allowed to play with 13 in the box.)
And Florida vs. Rutgers this year would be a great game. I hope they both win their conferences so we can see that game.
Second, We got good because we started getting 2nd tier players from Florida, and top-tier guys from New York. Now that we're winning, we're going to be able to keep New Jersey, and you my friend are right. Put together a team of the best NJ players, and we'll come in 4th in the nation, right behind California, Texas, and Florida.
Rutgers will not have this kind of a season again, but we are not a one-year wonder, and are not a joke any more.
The U, on the other hand...

Rutgers suck this is just a 1 year wonder....My 3 favorite teams can destroy Rutgers (Florida, FSU, The U)...Sorry dude Rutgers is still a nobody school.....Next Year back to reality....By the way Florida is the best Football state...The Florida Trio has more players in the NFL.....Look at the Giants and Jets they always pick someone from The Florida Trio.....The U and FSU will be back to destroying teams real soon...So enjoy the spotlight for now cuz when they come back Rutgers will be an after thought...

Get off your high horse and next time use something more than a blog. A blog is an opinion. Seems to me during the Holocaust, the church was looking skyward and whistling. You also have it quite the reverse. The church and other Christian Conservatives are ramming their religious views on everyone else. No one is forcing religious folks to use condoms. You have to ask for them at the store or pick them off the shelf.. FYI: If a church is an employer they have to follow the same damn rules as every other business. Just because they're a religious organization doesn't put them above the rules when it comes to employee/employer relations.. Pay your people, offer health insurance and withhold the taxes etc. If an Atheist is working for the Catholic Church and I'm sure some are why should the catholics moan about their lifestyle? What makes then so special?

It's funny to watch someone with no experience with success handle it. I am sure good players come from that area but they have nothing on the amount of players that come from the south or Texas or california.
Those fools even ran out on the field last night before the game was over. Maybe one day you will understand that respect is earned. Usually not in one season. Win you bowl game against a good team and you will earn some. Keep beating average teams and there will be doubters. Of course it is not your fault that the Big East is a weak conference but Rutgers should look into scheduling good teams like ones in the SEC or Big Ten.

I dont particularly agree with your viewpoint, as players go to schools that they personally like, or they feel may give them the best exposure trying to get to the NFL. however, I do think Rutgers has done something great for their own exposure and their recruiting classes. everyone loves a cinderella year, and with more than one cinderella year, you start to build tradition. good luck to you guys.
